Introduction
At House of Fraser, we know how important your wedding day is and we want you to be delighted with your Wedding List service. These terms and conditions make it clear how the service works.
You agree, by using the House of Fraser Wedding List service, to be bound by these terms and conditions and our Privacy Policy.
Definitions
Account means the sum of money held by us on your behalf until closure of your Wedding List. Your Account will hold any monies due to you where Gifts are no longer available, until such time they are exchanged for alternative Gifts or converted into a House of Fraser Gift Card.
Setting up a wedding list
You can create a Wedding List up to 12 weeks prior to your wedding date. The Wedding List is made available to your Guests 6 weeks prior to the wedding and ceases to be available for Guest purchases 2 days after your wedding.
Gifts
All Gifts listed on the Wedding List website are available for inclusion on your Wedding List, even where they are not available in your Host Store.
Product ranges vary from store to store, and not all products that are in store will be available for inclusion on your list. You should check Gift availability with your Concierge so as to avoid disappointment.
Gift display when viewed online
We have made every effort to display the Gifts featured as accurately as possible. However, the colours we use, as well as the display and colour capabilities of your particular computer monitor, may greatly affect the colours you actually see on the screen. We cannot be held responsible for any limitations of your monitor and cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour, texture, or detail of merchandise will be accurate/the same as the actual product.
Availability of Gifts
We will endeavour to ensure that any Gift added to your Wedding List is available when a Guest purchases it. From time to time, it is possible that Gifts will become unavailable and if that is the case, your Concierge will advise you on possible alternatives to ensure minimum disruption is caused as a result of the unavailability of a Gift. Where this does occur you can choose either an alternative Gift in your Host store, or online, to the equivalent value or choose to have the equivalent value placed on a House of Fraser Gift Card. The monies paid by the Guest will be held on your Account whilst you decide. We will not inform your Guest that a substitution has occurred. Because technology products are often updated, we reserve the right to substitute the most up-to-date model after discussion with you, especially in the case of TVs, Laptops and iPods.
Where you wish to view a particular Gift in store, we recommend that you telephone your Concierge to check availability of the Gift before making a visit.
Age restricted Gifts
Your Wedding List may contain Gifts that are restricted in sale by law. The following laws apply to those Guests attempting to buy such Gifts:
- Alcohol (or Gifts containing Alcohol) — it is illegal to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18.
- Knives (or Gifts containing Knives) — it is illegal to sell a knife or blade to anyone under the age of 18.
- Chocolate Liquors (or Gifts containing Chocolate Liquors) — it is illegal to sell chocolate liquors to anyone under the age of 16.
Your Guests undertake to comply with these laws when purchasing such Gifts.
Pricing policy
We take all reasonable care to ensure that the details, descriptions and prices of Gifts appearing on the Wedding List website are correct at all times. Gifts on Wedding Lists are subject to price fluctuations in line with our in store prices on a day-to-day basis. As a result, prices may change between the time you create your Wedding List and during the purchasing period (6 weeks prior to your wedding and 2 days after). Your Guests will be charged the price available on the Wedding List website on the day the purchase is made. In the event that you decide to return a Gift purchased by a Guest, the amount paid will be credited to your Account (please see Alterations to orders and returns policy below).
Gift messages
Your Guests may leave a personal message for you when purchasing a Gift from your Wedding List. We do not take any responsibility for the contents of messages communicated by your Guests.
Delivery
Gifts will be delivered to your registered mainland UK (Northern Ireland included) or Eire address. To allow for the timely delivery of the Wedding List to you, we will collate the Gifts in our central warehouse as they are purchased by Guests. The delivery date will be agreed between you and your Concierge. The majority of Gifts will be available from 4 weeks after the wedding, if you do not order any more Gifts when the Wedding List is closed. If you have asked that your Guests make pledges to a House of Fraser Gift Card, your Concierge will arrange to give it to you personally or send it to you. Please note that Gift Cards cannot be used for the redemption of large kitchen appliances or mobile phones on www.houseoffraser.co.uk
All Gifts are wrapped carefully for delivery, but not gift wrapped. In the event of any damages, please contact your Concierge within 28 days of delivery.
Direct delivery products
Berry Bros. & Rudd, Red Letter Day Experience and Malmaison & Hotel du Vin vouchers will be delivered directly from the supplier, separate to your main delivery from us. These vouchers are non-refundable after delivery. You should read the supplier’s terms and conditions upon delivery, to ensure that you obtain full usage of the Gift or Service.
Charges
The Wedding List Service includes one free delivery and there is no other charge to either you or your Guests for using the House of Fraser Wedding List Service.
Alterations to Wedding List Gifts and our returns policy
- Alterations and returns: If you are unhappy with any Gift that has been purchased by a Guest, and you should contact your Concierge to arrange an exchange. The amount paid for the Gift will be credited to your Account to enable you to choose an alternative Gift. You can choose either an alternative Gift to the equivalent value or choose to have the equivalent value placed on a House of Fraser Gift Card. A maximum of 25% of the Gifts can be exchanged in total (before and after delivery). This excludes exchanges for damaged goods as your statutory rights remain unaffected. No Gift is fully refundable as the contract for purchase is between us and your Guest.
- In the event that you wish to make any change as per paragraph 1 above, you should request a returns appointment with your Concierge.
- Tec 7 products can be returned only if kept in the original condition (i.e. in unopened and undamaged packaging and including any accessories that form part of the product), and returned within 28 days from the delivery date. An exchange for other merchandise or a House of Fraser Gift Card to the value of the item will be provided only. Certain products are excluded from this policy.
- After your delivery it is your responsibility to check the gifts and notify your Concierge within 28 days from the delivery date in the event of any damages.
